TTP223B Capacitive Touch Sensor is a capacitive touch sensor based on the TTP223B touch sensing IC. The module can be used as a touch sensitive replacement for a conventional push button and detects when a finger touches the touch surface.

In its normal state, the signal output is low and the module has low power consumption. When the touch surface is touched, the signal output changes to high. After the touch surface has not been touched for approximately 12 seconds, the module returns to low power mode.

The module has three connections for simple wiring, G for ground, V for supply voltage and S for signal output. The signal output can be connected directly to a digital input on an Arduino or other microcontroller.

The TTP223B uses capacitive sensing and the touch surface can be touched directly. The sensor can also be used with a suitable external conductive touch surface, such as a copper surface or metal plate.
